Herndon Sports Boosters Alumni Relations Volunteer

The Herndon Sports Boosters are seeking a dedicated volunteer to develop and manage alumni engagement efforts. Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing an "Alumni Supporter" membership program.

  • Creating and maintaining a database of alumni, including parents of former athletes.

  • Communicating with alumni about volunteer opportunities, major events, and ways to stay involved.

  • Collaborating with the Spirit Wear team to design and market alumni-specific merchandise.

  • Developing a newsletter and social media content, including alumni spotlights, to foster engagement.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about keeping Herndon High School alumni connected and engaged with the Hornet community!

Whale hunter/ Scoreboard Fundraiser (Volunteer)

The Herndon Sports Boosters are seeking a passionate and driven volunteer to lead fundraising efforts for the Elevate the Nest campaign. Responsibilities include:

  • Spearhead the initiative to raise $300,000 for a new digital scoreboard, sound system, and other key stadium improvements.

  • Network with local business leaders, community members, and potential sponsors to secure funding.

  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies, including sponsorship opportunities and donor outreach.

  • Collaborate with the Boosters Board to track progress and engage the community in the campaign.

This role is perfect for a motivated individual who thrives on building relationships and making a lasting impact on Herndon High School athletics!
